hi yes I take 1 at night, they work for me but maybe give it time to see how you respond to them a few weeks before seeing the results

Yes I have been on it since last 5 years. If your brain fog is severe maybe check your SpO2 or oxygen saturation which might be the cause.

Try deep breathing and see if it improves.

Montelukast is to be taken for more than a week consistently to see its benefits.

If you are on some cough syrups along montelukast, maybe they are causing it. Most importantly consult with your doctor if it prolongs.

Wish you a speedy recovery.

I’ve been on them for a long time and don’t have any side effects. When my asthma was first diagnosed in 2012 I coughed continually and the montelukast stopped the night time coughing.

Hi, I too have been on them for a long time with no adverse side effects. Recently I trialled not using them at the request of my Consultant, but lasted only 4 days before my nighttime cough and wheeze returned with a vengeance. Your brain fog could be due to many things, mine seems to be linked to my Bronchiectasis. Try them for a few weeks before deciding, with advice, if they are right for you. Get well soon.

I've taken 1 at night since 2013 with no issues. I now take it about 8pm in the evenings. When 1st prescribed it I asked what it was for and if it was a safe medication he said 'yes, we give it to young children as well in syrup form. It's for the allergic aspect of asthma '.

It's only 10mgs so I'd be surprised if it caused brain fog, but then we're all different
