I don't know about these tablets poetic lady but someone will soon be along who can help.

Suppose you are doing what the chest specialist says meantime? Rayfindlow this forum is not a competition in computer use, someone is asking for help. Even I know what she meant.

in reply tolavender1

i did not mention computer use, i did say please, lighten up,

Yes they are like a bronchodilator, slow release,i have been on them many years for asthma, but got told i now also have moderate copd, you take them 12 hourly

there is a fine line, between the correct dosage, and toxic, but it has never happened before,so wondered if it is because of the copd,

I used to take them but can not maintain therapeutic levels. Therapeutic levels are between 10 and 20, anything under is ineffective and anything over, causes toxicity which the user at risk of heart and seizure issues. Glad you have an on the ball consultant, and hope things return to normal service very soon.

Hi Daxiemad,I have always coped reasonably well with them,So that.s why I wondered if it is more to do with the copd,as too why i,ve got toxic results.Yes I am lucky to have a good chest specialist, thanks :)

I have been on them for a number of years, but didnt once get levels tested until recently. Luckily they are fine, but its just as well your doc is on the ball.

Hi I take them and have on several occasions been told to stop for a few days I can normally tell when I have to much in my system and my heart beats a lot faster than it should!!!

It is common to stop them as from what my gp has told me there pretty nasty tablets hth.

Hi, i can honestly say but for the blood test,i would of been non the wiser,as i always blame everything on my breathing probelms ha ha ,so yes i m lucky to have had a good chest specialist x
