Lung lump investigation
Hi lovely, while I haven't had this experience nor pocess the knowledge in this area... I would just like to say although your anxiety is probably through the roof (understandably) what ever it may or may not be its positive its been picked up and being investigated.
I hope you don't have to wait long for investigation or results. I'll be thinking of you and sending positive vibes. Good luck. Xπ
No, I haven't but I do wish you the very very best result with the investigation Paulamg
I just wanted to send you lots of good wishes. I hope it all goes well for you π€
Thinking of you and wishing you well xx
Just wanted to send my good wishes to you. π€π€ Holly
Sounds like a tough time you are going through. Just like the others, I just wanted to say thinking of you and hope it doesnβt take too long to find out results so that your doctors can give you the best possible treatment! x
You are understandably worried but as mylungshateme has said it has been found as is being investigated. Knowledge is so important. And it sounds as if you have good doctors. All the best
K x
All the best for your tests. Hoping that what they find can easily be treated.
Hi These things are best looked at early and if there is a problem the Doc's have a good chance of sorting them out. Good Luck. John
Yes, I have had over the past few years two bronchoscopies to investigate lumps in my lung, the experience is not painful as it is done under partial sedation, just a bit uncomfortable. In my case it ruled out cancer and after further tests aspergillosis was diagnosed.
Just to say I hope the lump is benign and I wish you all the very best π€
I have had this process and it sounds worse than it is..Just try and relax...hopefully they will find the lump and it will be just that a lump.Try not too worry too much,it will make you stress and the more relaxed you can make yourself the better.
Best regards..
Yes I have had that procedure, in 2016, they gave me some sedation but whilst I was aware of what was going on I felt no discomfort from the procedure and it seemed to be over fairly quickly. Would not be at all concerned if I had to have another one. Whilst for me what they found was cancerous that doesn't mean to say it would be the same for you but it will help them to proceed with the right treatment, if any is needed. for you. It is far better to check things out and if it is positive the sooner you start any treatment the better so I can imagine from personal experience you are quite anxious so the sooner you know the better you will be able to deal with it. I will be thinking of you and sending positive thoughts. My very best wishes and I hope all goes well for you. xx
Thx u very much for the feed back it really has helped, yeh it was discovered on a pet scan I was getting for myeloma!! Hopefully all goes well, hope your keeping well yourself in these strange times, take care and stay safe. Xπ
Yes I had a PET scan first and the camera into the lungs was to confirm what they thought. I had a lobectomy (Upper right lung removed) in March 2017 by keyhole surgery. If yours turns out to be cancerous you will be looked after very well. I was in Papworth for 5 days after the operation. I had a CT scan each year for 3 years, 3 monthly check ups for the first 2 years with an X-ray each time before I saw the consultant, then I moved to 4 monthly check ups again with an x-ray before seeing the consultant and I am now on 6 monthly check ups again with an x-ray before I see the consultant. Please try to stay positive (I know that is easier said than done) and you are being taken care of so whatever you do do not give up hope for a good outcome. Please let me know how you get on with it all. Lots of people on this site will help to support you whatever the outcome. xx
Thx u so much, such a great community web site I have found with most people being so understanding and reassuring, u really do have to had experience of situations to give helpful guidance and support thx again.ππ

You can start another thread like you did this one for example "Lung Lump Investigation Update" or "Lung Lump Update" and chances are most of us will see it as people check on this site on a regular basis, I usually check on it most days. Best wishes for tomorrow. xx
So sorry for my late response, I know you are going to hospital tomorrow and you must be so scared, but please donβt be.I had thyroid cancer which was removed I then had radiotherapy and was a patient at Christie Hospital for many years In 1992 I had a left lower lobectomy for severe Bronchiestasis which had been diagnosed in my late teens. After the surgery which was not keyhole . I was told micro metastasis (which are small cancers)had been found in my left and right lung.....:::
Four years ago I had major surgery on my spine and two years ago I had skin cancer which took many months to heal. I attend hospital on a regular basis have scans blood tests etc to ensure my cancers in my lung and leg are not active......
The most important thing I want to say to you is Donβt go on the internet unless it is a legitimate site just seek help and support from anyone who will lift you up.... like all these wonderful people on HealthUnlocked
They really do understand how you feel
We will all be thinking about you tomorrow
It is always the waiting and the unknown which is the most difficult thing to deal with in my experience anyway xx
