You are really asking how long is a piece of string.
Do you need oxygen when flying or cruising? Have you had a "fitness to fly" test. How old are you? What medications are you taking? Have you had any exacerbations in the past year?
Do you intend to travel only within Europe?
Give answers to those questions and some sensible advice will be forthcoming.
hi, and thanks for answering, I'm 63 , don't know about needing oxygen when flying or cruising yet, taking nintedinab, oronac, and yes travelling within Europe. and no exacerbations.
If you are not currently using oxygen it seems likely that you are in the initial stages of IPF. But you still need a "fitness to fly" test, arranged by your Consultant or Oxygen Nurse at the hospital. Depending on the result of that, you may find travel insurance at an affordable cost. You must, of course, declare your condition to your insurers. There have been a lot of postings on this forum from people who have got good and bad deals with travel insurance so search some of them.
