A bit depressed
Hello and welcome to the forum.
Hi DJ,
It is quite easy to live a normal life with COPD with the right treatment. Get a good lung specialist and don't let it get you down. You need not suffer.
Best wishes.
Eric.
A good respiratory nurse, a doctor that listens and as much exercise as you can manage are a good start.
The people on here have been a great help and an inspiration to me.
Let us know what sort of problems you have and we'll probably be happy to give you some feedback of some kind...
Being a bit down goes hand in hand with copd. You have to decide if you have copd or does copd have you! Try pursed lip breathing, exercise and live one day at a time.
I think some medication can make you feel down. Please do not despair. Do as much as you can and try to feel positive. It's important to keep in touch with family and friends. You will have days when you feel awful but other days when you are fine. Concentrate on the good times. I've had it since I was fifty and am now seventy nine. I try not to let it get me down. I've bought a buggy and still get out and about. I bless my family and friends. The very best of luck to you and God Bless.
