I was so happy and if I could have jumped through hoops I would have because ..... yesterday my oxygen levels finally stayed where they should be and I no longer need oxygen for 15+ hours a day .... has made a great improvement and I appreciate it......hope some of you oxygen users will be able to kick it into touch at some point too xxx

Hi Jjnana, Most interested in how you got off oxygen. I am not on it, myself. Never really hear of anyone getting off. Well done, lady. What stage copd are you? I have read your posts, and you don't say to much about your condition. So tell us how to managed to get off. Ruby 🌸🌸

Hi rubyred777, I am not sure exactly what I did to improve the situation but I am a very positive person who does far more in a day then she probably should .... then spends all evening moaning to herself for overdoingit !! I had lung cancer nearly 12 years ago so lost my right one then spent a fair bit of time adjusting to life with 1 which is very possible as even though I have osteoarthritis in both hips and knees I do try and get out each day and yes I drive so that helps, if not I would have invested in a scooter ... anything to keep mobile .... Last year they decided I had heart failure so although not good news they assured me the oxygen would help because when I am poorly with a bad chest my sats drop to alarmingly low levels my O2 levels go down to 50 and blood pressure rarely lifts above 2 numbers top or bottom, but the hospital do what they can the rest is down to me ... keep moving, and keep the mind active .... I craft a lot, I run a book club, I have a new great grandson that I see often and 4 lovely grandkids and a great family who jolly me on too. I also have Tinnitus, a goiter or 2 .. gall stones, ulcerative colitis, ongoing uti's which are under investigation, bad circulation in my legs .... and COPD ... BUT I am determined not to make my kids, grandkids and the little one sad so shall keep going as much as I can. Chin up is my motto and keep going just to annoy the kids is another great one lol ... The well wishes on here have been great and I hope I have spurred others on to be more active and help themselves improve xx

Well done that's really good news, I also was on oxygen 3 years back and managed to come of it and continued to improve a little bit. Still severe COPD but I can manage it a bit better. So well done you and I hope you continue to improve .
