Oxygen back up

Just had safety visit from oxygen nurse I asked for a back up for my ambultory oxygen she said that they are stopping doing them how true this is i don't know anyone heard anything I'm with Boc this has scuppered any plans for a days jolly when I feel up to it

I haven't heard of it either. Why not ring the BLF Helpline and see if they can advise you?

Hi

Non do a back up system apart people on long term oxygen therapy with a static concentrater, will have A back up cylinder in case of power cuts or breakdown.

I noticed BOC only do liquid oxygen for Ambulitory use.

On 2lpm you can get 7.7hrs upto 22hrs depending on flask and delivery system pulse or continuous.

If you are out and about useing a wheel chair or being driven you can turn your oxygen down to 1 LPM the same as you use at rest.

Think it about 5ish on 2 I use continuos mouth breather
