Sorry cant answer your question, I am not on oxygen but wanted to say how exciting I think this is to do. I hope you get the information you need so you can get planning and looking forward to some time away x
That sounds like FUN! I cant help you, but I would ask your oxygen supplier, others must be in that (fortunate!) position Let us know how you get on! Laurie xx
Can't help but sounds like the start of some amazing adventures! Keep us updated!
What can I say. My BOC chaps tell me that if you give them the address you are holidaying at they can arrange delivery there. We have a caravan and while I was on the Inogen 5 I could charge it up overnight. Unfortunately as I've got worse I now have a huge machine that my husband checks they have the right voltage on site for it to work, although we haven't explored this avenue yet. They have given me larger oxygen tanks to travel with, just notify your car insurer and the camp site you stay at.
Hi, I have only travelled in my camper, Scotland, Spain, France with my own POC Inogen one G3. I did that for several years and it gave me enough 02 when out and about on my feet.
Now it is a different story! I am on continuous flow and can’t figure out how to get from U.K. to Spain with 02. Obviously flying is out and I would normally use the ferry and and drive south to accommodation where I could try to get a large tank of 02 to fill flasks. I really know if it is possible at all.
Having to consider hotels here in U.K. now and have a plan to spend a few nights in a hotel and getting a large pressured tank delivered there to fill my flasks. That will be better than nothing though!
Good luck.
Pauline
Provided you overnight on mains electric provided sites you could use a relatively small continuous flow machine like the Dedajk when parked up overnight. This would reduce your requirement for flasks and could make longer journeys possible. Would thus help.
We were told by Baywater that as long as they were given 48 hors notice they would deliver to any caravan site to the main office to be collected by us on arrival returns would be collected 24 hours after our departure. They would also supply us with a smaller concentrator and tanks so that they did not take up so much room in caravan.
