Morning Kenny, it must be difficult and scary going through what you do on your own. You are nice longer alone because you have found this supportive site.

Have you spoken to your doctor about your shaking and anxiety? He may be able to help. Keep chatting and we will do our best to offer support. Xxxx

Hi Kenny welcome to the sight, you do have a lot to cope with I sympathies with you my son has epilepsy and I know how hard it can be to cope sometimes. You have come to the right place, you will find everyone very supportive and helpfull. Have you talked to your dr about the anxiety, I know it's hard but hopefully things will get easier all the anxiety won't help your breathing it tightens your chest muscles which makes it harder to breathe

Take care Peg xxx

Please ask your gp for rx of Buspirone for your anxiety and go to drugs.com to check it out. I have used it for 4 yrs... Bill

Hi Kenny I think need to speak to the lung foundation helpline about what help you can get, I think you need some support and extra help with having epilepsy as well, try not to worry too much about emphysema, stop smoking and start eating healthy and try to do a little exercise if possible xx

Hi Kenny, Emphysema is a condition that YOU CONTROL. Not the other way around. I was first diagnosed in 1989 and i'm still going strong at 81. Get help from your surgery. As to be referred for Pulmonary Rehab. You might only walk 15 yds now but when you end the 6 week course you'll wonder why you were so worried and will walk much further.without stopping.

Make sure you are on the correct medications. There are new ones around.

Keep active. get out in the fresh air as the weather allows.

Join the local Breathe Easy Group. If there is one near you.

Just don't give in to your illness.

You should be looking forward to at least another 30 years of life.

Good Luck.
