Hi I have copd 3. I take no medication as the bronchodilaters made me depressed and lethargic. It is 4 years since I was diagnosed.
My Doctor is aware of this situation.
I have a dog and exercise a lot...I keep active and motivated, take supplements. If I get a cold I go to bed and make sure it does not go down on my chest, if at all possible.
I am retired and started a community gardening project in town.
However I am prone to lots of low grade infections, slight cold/flu like bugs and stomach bugs.
Wonder how to build myself up...
any thoughts welcome.
Thank you.

Welcome Pinejen, you seem to be doing really well so keep doing my what you are. Eat well and keep moving. Good luck to you and hope to hear from you again soon. Xxxxx
It sounds as if you are doing a wonderful job already. Keeping yourself on the move and resting as soon as you feel a bit off. Very good, I say. It is also wonderful that you are so.involved with the community. A gardening project sounds like so much fun.
The only way I try and not catch infections is to stay out of crowds and to wash my hands often. I also make sure to ask my friends if they are feeling well before we meet up. They are used to it now and let me know if they aren't well as they understand my situation.
Plenty of rest is also important. You are doing a grand job. Well done!
Much love to you.

P.S. What kind of dog do you have and what is it's name?
Hi Pinejen, I'm into taking suppliments and take a variety of vitamins, a multi, high c, d3, fish oil, garlic, a probiotic (asidophluss ) and more recently olive leaf-good for viral infection, I am a bit unwell atm but feel I have fended of quite a few bugs!x
