Im wondering why you are asking this mastertom - you don't give any information about your condition. Your doctor or consultant will tell you when you need to be nebulising your medication. My understanding is that generally nebulisers aren't advised unless there's a specific need, e.g. when you're hospitalised so short term use, and back to normal medication delivery when you're better - that's my experience anyway, and I have primarily copd (severe). People with bronchiectasis use them in the later stages - my sister in law uses ones daily to inhale her antibiotics. If you are worrying, talk it through with your respiratory nurse or GP.

I have a nebuliser supplied to me by my respiratory home care nurse . I would not dream of using it without them telling me to either by phone or on a visit. If I was to use it on a regular basis I wouldn't then have anything extra to fall on when I get an infection.
