A well nothing goes to plan, the purchase of the new house all fell through, the guy has pulled out of the sale at the very last minute. I am now franticly house searching this weekend, been to see two tonight and three tomorrow π₯π₯π₯ my dream house was just not meant to be, just now.

Bad few days.
OMG Just how annoying for you and what a let down for your expectations 1968 . I do sympathise with you. I've always thought that it the potential buyer pulls out at the very last moment that he/she should have to pay a monetary penalty! I only trust that you are able to find your dream house. Good luck.
I am so very sorry 1968 .........Agree wholeheartedly with Squirrelsholt. I have seen this happen on a regular basis near where I live. Quite often it is an indication that the seller wants to be offered more. I think the house buying system in Scotland is so much fairer on everyone. I really do hope your dream home is just not too far away, and I wish that awful person a bad day.
So very sorry to hear that. Good luck with the search. Hope the little ones are well. πΆπ π’
sorry to hear that but there may be something better turn up
Aargh I emphasise! I have found though when this has happened to me it works out for the best coz I have found something better/cheaper etc. Good luck. x
So sorry to hear that, what a let down. There just isn't enough protection for house buyers.
I believe gazumping is forbidden in Scotland which is a small mercy.
The right house may be waiting for you to find it.
I am sorry. I just tried to sell my rental house in Arizona and the buyer could not acquire financing because he is on parole. I was held up for months with no rent, taxes due and now I have debt...I feel for you and me!
Sorry to hear that you have lost your dream home David but you will find something as good if not better l'm sure.
Good luck with the viewings. Xxxx
Oh I really do feel for you as the same happened to me though it was the other way round the person purchasing my buyers house pulled out and this happened on the morning the contracts were due to be signed ,Luckily for me and I'm touching wood as I say this, my seller of the ground floor flat I want said he would give me 2 weeks to resell mine which actually sold the same day but not going to build my hopes up will wait till i walk out of the door xx
Had you exchanged? If so your solicitor must sue him. If not, on with the house searching. I had it happen to me twice and in the end I found the house that I was really meant to have. Good luck.
really feel for you as house selling is stressful enough .Had contracts been signed?if they have then he is committed to proceed with the sale/purchase.i hope you find the house of your dreams.
This is where the stress comes in to house buying I do hope you find something
Sometimes it's fate and there's a better house waiting for you around he corner - good luck and all best wishes
Very stressful time but not the house meant for you. You will be glad after your settled in your new place that is waiting for you out there.
Very encouraging words from everyone, it just wasn't to be. I will get something else, but never ever doing this again, 48 and never want to go through this again, this will be our 3 and final house I hope, been married 22yrs now and never want to move again.
You have my sympathy, it's many years ago now but I well remember the heartache and stress of being gazumped on the day that the contracts were due to be signed. Hope you find something that you love equally as much - we did.
