Pain after an invasive lung biopsy

yes for a while you will get pain it will slowly get less n you will wake up one day in a week or so and no pain i had one some years ago ive also had transplant now so if you need to know anything feel free to ask me
Hi Lizzy1898, i had a biopsy over two years ago, took a while for the pain to go away, been diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis and emphysema. Had a struggle to inflate my lung when it came to removing the piping from my side and my back, got a chest infection and finished up staying in hospital for 8 days, I still get a twinge every now and then when I twist my upper body round to the right.
Peter.

Thanks birdwatcher1 when did you have the opportunity ?
I mean operation
Hi Lizzy1898, had my biopsy in May 2014 then saw a consultant a couple of months later before being given the full results, diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis and emphysema. Went for a lung transplant assessment in November 2014, was because of a couple of things, one being my age 61 at the time, to be told i'm too old and that I would not be accepted to go on the transplant list.
Peter.

Hi Birdwatcher1 thanks for reply. How are you doing now, and what treatment are you on ?
