Tongue 👅 Biopsy & Lung Diease

Well had my biopsy TURNs out was 6.5cm lesion base of tongue.

Not quite sure what’s going on APART from new lump on lip TOLD doctor doing biopsy and he said it’s just teeth rubbing on lip SO I said why it only doing it now then

Anyway told me not to worry about it as nothing.

As to procedure was 25 mins GUESS the quick in case you change your mind.

Not really needed any post biopsy pain relief even tho had five stitches WOULD say only issue Is eating as everything for few days as to be like baby food n wet

Also wish I would of told surgeon doing procedure NOT to leave big not on end stitches on tongue AS is irritating to troat ALSO all mucus is horrendous BUT guess if that’s my only gripe THINGs went well.

As to tongue quite a big triangle section was removed round gag reflex SO not sure if all was removed but I know doctor had to turn juice up on quarteriser

Hi hungryhuff have to go back when healed in 4 weeks NOT sure if was all removed BUT did here nurse say was deep involved to surgeon.

Not really sure if contact sooner given biopsy BUT did say would write with it all init

That aside did read 6.5cm is Size gets when spreads DID say get lumps on lips 👄

All I know is LAST six months had heart issues noplastic colon polyp removed and now had chunk of tongue removed

Yet everyone saying everything’s fine DEFO seems that way when listed

Went shop today see if any tasty baby food AND was all spicy 🌶 flavour STUFF told to stay clear of

I hope it all goes well when you go back in four weeks. It’s so weird that all baby food is spicy 🌶 🌶 🌶 but it seems to be the way things are going. Hopefully you can find something you can eat otherwise I guess you’ll have to eat lots of soup 🥣

Hi Hungryhuff was inbarasing really AS am stood there drewelling looking at baby food

Anyway went home tried dad’s fortasip AND yuk SO decided to mash up toffee pudding with birds custard AND that did the job.

Thought of mashed up stuff for ever or soup GOSH how horrid is that.

Even soup go’s down in lumps after bit BUT only posatives is have experienced life with tongue issues.

AND think you need one if have lung issues.

When I had trouble swallowing after chemo I had to have all soft runny stuff and I had Farleys rusks with warm milk for breakfast, it was lovely. I had Purried pear and custard baby food, also lovely, and homemade soup all mashed up to a runny consistency. You can be so creative with food to suit - give it a go, you might enjoy do it and well as eating it, good luck honey.

Hi Georgygirl takes some getting use to but think am getting hang of it now

Only thing mis is convenience of just eating with out messing about.

Hi sassy don’t feel to bad really THINK might be efffect of what ever removed OR inflammatory response giving germs n stuff run for money

I go back when healed unless sooner BUT said about 4 weeks BUT did say would write with with results names etc

Am not really happy after last oncologist visit especially as wanted to ask him about NEOPLASTIC colon polyps and could stuff spread

As usual it’s what I can’t see is worry really ... but on hole keeping it together guess like any of us

Cheers thanks dad’s doing better than me really DOCTORS told me to rest tougue CHANCE would be fine thing.

Anyway been practicing being total dog 🐕 and walking round with tougue out drewlling.

Guess have to get jollies somehow

So far so good really STILL have taste and no pain relief FROM what read some people have horrendus time post tounge biopsy.

Not sure not being in pain is good tho OR i suffer bad nerve atrophy

When I first noticed lump was center of tongue ANYWAY went to see gp and he said I need to see dentist.

Anyway I ask why as dentist not doctor SO doctor said the experts at oral issues and are trained in oral cancer.

Guess learn something new everyday MY lump was lymth nodes TURNs out lump was befoure them ... quite a shock as I looked in mirror and still seen them.

I think if worried I would go see dentist AS they can refer if see something dodgy.

Or can see you own GP ... this little or no point speculating as could be out or nout BUT for own peace of mind go get it checked out.
