rolling sliding hiatus hernia

Hi dose anyone know how and what to eat to ease symptoms of bad rolling sliding hiatus hernia.

Defo affects breathing and walking pain is horrendous when try lay down.

How others cope quick fixes be much appreciated

I have an hiatus hernia JAS but had no idea about rolling or sliding ones. I have read up about both now and best advice is to not smoke, not to drink alcohol, cut down on portion sizes, not to eat fatty foods, citrus etc. I also have Lansoprazole 15mg which helps.

I will admit that l drink alcohol but not as much as before. It's not easy to cut out everything and l wish you well. Xxxx

Hi Sassy Yer its horrendous like guts guna pop out.

God if we cut out everything think we would starve THINK guna have to get out hours doc out.

Dave has a hiatus hernia; it seems much better than 25 years back but he has problems from time to time. 2014, he was in agony & could not breathe, he was blue-lighted to A &E he had a blockage; food causing an obstruction. The Nurses gave him coca cola, drink it down in one. He burped himself free. Other than this emergency does not get many problems from it. Take Care Margaret

Hi cheers trying to live with it BUT pain is horrendus but no reflux

How that works anyones guess.

Eat any less the be nout of me lol

Hi Cheers thanks for help I do that with lungs to help with breathing
