Stiff Fingers

For past six months after sleep, I awake usually feeling breathless and my fingers are stiff. I am wondering if poorer lung function affects hands. No problem with feet so far. Diagnosed with Bronchiectasis 2012 & Emphysema earlier this year. Thank you.

I suffered with stiff fingers which is kept at bay by omega 3 fish oil. I forgot to take the caps on holiday once, and had to sort stiff fingers before I could use them. I am a bronch. X

I take Green lipped mussel pills for achey joints. I have clubbing of my finger tips through having emphysema for a long time.huff 😊🌸

Is your oxygen sats low when you get up?

Alternatively poor blood flow to extremities will aggravate any joint issues, that, if minor, will go away as you move around and improve circulation. See your Dr to rule out circulation problems.

Have you been on an anti-inflammatory med lately?

I have been on 40 mg of prednisone per day for so long, that when I was able to decrease it to 30 mg per day, my joints, specially my fingers would be stiff in the morning. Prednisone is an anti-inflammatory med, so decreasing allowed my arthritic to be more noticeable. My body, after a time, adjusted.
