Bad pain and breathless

I'm in a lot of pain under my boob and round to my back I'm worried as any one else had this iv copd

Hi, Pugs4love, I have only had that type of pain when I had a lung infection or coughed enough to make my muscles sore.

I agree with the others. If I've got an infection taking pain killers doesn't really help the pain because its inflammation, so I would contact someone. Do you have emergency Antibiotics and Steroids at home.

Thank you for your support. I've taken a corse of antibiotics and steroids but they made no difference and the doctor seems to be no help my feet and legs are all swollen and they tell me its because off my chest all they tell is my breathing is bad but do nothing about it

I always have an ache under my left boob, and sometimes around my side ribs. My GP said it's intercostal muscle strain. The ribs ache goes if I use Ventolin before I exercise, but the ache under my boob never goes. I have "slightly reactive moderate COPD".

I sometimes get costochondritis which could be what you are experiencing?. The pain can be bad or mega - it is not the same as a badly pulled muscle as I get raised inflammatory markers in my blood. Just a thought but I hope you can get on top of it soon x

Thank you for your support I'm taking every ones coment's in and going too mention it to my doctor I need it sorted out its getting me down thank you again xx

If you have lower limb swelling then I think your GP should be looking into things a little more actively. I have lupus which causes me to have recurrent pleuritic and costochondritis pain with breathlessness but I do respond to steroids. Keep pestering your GP x

Did your doctor check your oxygen levels re your swollen feet and legs or put you on water tablets? This was the case for me. Would keep an eye on it. Can cause heart problems. Joyce
