I would like to know if anyone has had lung reduction. If so how did it go?

Hi I know a few on here who have and hopefull they will be in soon,   If you type this in the search box on the top right you will see others posts about it. 

I have never had this done but a friend of mine did.  She had half a lung taken away because of damage caused by repeated pneumonia.  She was in hospital for around 10 days and it took 6 weeks or so for her to start to feel the benefits.  She says now she is fitter than even and is really pleased she had it done.   x

Two people from our pulmonary rehab class have had the lung reduction - they are doing quite well - off oxygen and able to breathe again. 

  (I had the test to see if I could benefit from lung reduction but my damage is too widespread - it has to be localized damage, and at the top of your lungs. )
