My advice is simple..there is no such thing as a stupid question and anything at all you want to know write it down and ask even if you think its unimportant.
The main thing i think is getting instructions on what to do if you start feeling unwell because i know when i was first diagnosed i was never sure when to contact my gp ...Your nurse should know some of your concerns before you even see her
PS your not bothering anyone ....support and advice is what we are all here for x
Quite right Mandy. Really Ris no such thing as a daft question. It might help if you were to call the BLF helpline as they may be able to give you some pointers too.
Hello Muttley , I'm sure your nurse will do what she can to help. I sent a copy of my spirometry test with my forms and my doctor wrote a letter at my request they were very supportive also my Consultant was glad to give his support. I'm not looking forward to having to do it all over again for the pip . They haven't sent the forms yet for the area where I live as they are back logged.huff xxx
Hi Muttley, by naming the health professionals on your PIP form you are giving Atos, Capita or whoever is dealing with your claim, consent to contact them. So if you don't send in sufficient evidence they will do that so don't worry. I get PIP but not for COPD, I have a movement disorder and sent no evidence in but my neurologist told me he had been contacted and was pleased he was able to help me get it awarded - he's a lovely man!
