Hi just wondered if anyone else felt awful when taking Clarithromycin. It is making my chest feel tight and I find it stuffs my nose up terribly. I feel more ill while taking this than I did before! I still have four weeks left :-(

Yes my husband had a bad reaction to that drug - please ring your doctor. He didn't realise and was quite poorly by the time we realised xxx

Hi I couldn't take that either, I tried but it wasn't for me. Photo light sensitivity which was horrible and palpitations. Not everybody can take the same go tell your Dr there will be an alternative.

I had a quite dreadful reaction to it, too -- and it was changed to a different antibiotic fairly quickly. Don't suffer!

I am allergic to this drug, seek help immediately you could be doing yourself more harm than good. Take care, Lizzy x

Always STOP taking a medicine which shows side effects.

Your G.P. won't hesitate to change your medication once the signs are there that you are having problems with it.

I took Clarithromycin for quite some time before my system rejected it.

Be aware that others of the "Mycin Spectrum" will probably affect you too.

The Antibiotic, which currently appears to be very useful for C.OP.D. sufferers

is Doxycyclin.

Cheers.
