Nice to know I'm not going mad 😊I've looked on line but can't seem to find any answers.

I've a drip from my throat since August last year so I know my throat is damaged. Every time I try to clear it at night it feels like razer blades I've swallowed. So annoying when you have to keep clearing your throat.

Doctor don't seem interested

but thanks for your help xx enjoy your day xx

Hi Maggis1961,

I don't know if it's the same thing but when things get quite and I can hear my lungs crackle, it's the air trying to pass through my mucus. When I first started to hear it to my mind it sounded like clicking. My consultant explained and now I can change the sound of the 'clicking' by coughing or trying to clearer my throat. I know it's darned annoying. I find having my upper body elevated helps, apart from that using my ventolin/sabutomal inhaler when I go to bed helps to slow the clicking down so that I can go to sleep.

Saying that I was eating an omelette at 2.15 this morning and eventually fell asleep at about four. Oh the joy of steroid tablets. And I don't like eggs....

Cheers

Sue

I get exactly the same and for the same reason, it's very annoying though, when you're trying to sleep. I sit up & do a bit of gentle huffing, or coughing, then a drink, but sometimes when I lie down the click has just shifted a bit! I believe you're right & it's just air bubbling slightly in the mucus, with each breath.
