My husband is 84 yrs old and has taken statins for the past 20 yrs and also had flue jab the same he had a triple bypass at the age of 56 yrs has had a couple of set backs with blood clotting but no heart attack can't remember last flu or cold or chest infection needing antbiotics so don't believe everything you read I say. If you can cope with the drug then take it .
I agree with you. If It doesn't hurt Anything, Get It anyway.
My son had a liver transplant yrs. ago. I asked him if he got his flu jab. He said no, because he takes
Statins. Don't know if the dr. said he couldn't get it. That was the reason I checked it out. Your
husband sounds like he's doing something right.

Typical Daily Fail sensationalism They are making plaque epidemic out of a pimple. They quote the trial on 7,000 and 140,000 people but not what percentage they found were affected. Just it seemed like it made a difference?

‘No one who is planning to have a flu vaccination this winter should stop taking their statin on the basis of these studies. Indeed patients with heart disease are at greater risk of a heart attack if they catch flu and therefore need the protection of their statin.
‘It is important that patients with heart disease should be vaccinated against flu and continue to take all of their medication.’
