Anyone with kids/grandkids/nieces:nephews etc here that have used the calpol plug in?
I put it on tonight for my lg just for 30mins as she's all clogged up but my god, I can't even go into the room. My face is actually sore from coughing!
How big is the room, and is it well ventilated? I'd imagine it would cause coughing in us with lung conditions. I'm sure the smaller the room, the stronger the fumes
Yes for babies and kids over 3 months. Loads of mummies swear by it. Yes we have Vicks and I use a product on her called snufflebabes- like baby Vicks.
The only calpol i know is the medicine form im assuming they are making a sort of vics plug in ??
The fact its affecting your lungs makes you wonder how its affecting the babies which someone else has already mentioned .......its releasing something into the air thats for sure and smells can irritate me big time so there are no plug ins here or canned air fresheners etc ..
When mine were little i just use to put baby vick on their chest and the bottom of their feet like my gran use to do
How old is the baby ?
I've heard of that, it's lavender & chamomile? I love the smell of lavender but it makes my chest tight too. I'm sure it's been tested to death & found safe for babies, no worse than vick's or snufflebabe. Vick's do a vaporiser but I think only in the US?
For my little girl I used a Wright's coal tar vaporiser, it had a hole in the bottom you put a nightlight in and the top was dish-shaped to hold the coal tar fluid. The nightlight warmed the fluid & released coal tar vapour into the room. Got banned by elf&safety cos some stupid women set fire to the nursery curtains or left the bottle of fluid lying around & kids drank it. Mind you I don't think it worked anyway
I have a granddaughter but didn't know you could get capol plug in thought it came in liquid form. My daughter uses that eucalyptus oil you can get for babies
