Aches and pains.

For the past 4 days now every bone in my body aches, no other symptoms ie cough, sneeazy ect. I've been taking soluble paracetamol every 4 hours which does take the achy bones away. Feel like I've got the cold in my bones, never had the flu before, only ever had colds, but never experienced this before. I'm due my flue jag next month. Any idea about the pain in my bones, back legs, fingures, ancles, all over.

Sounds very much like flu to me...but best to get checked...

November is very late to get your flu jab....it has been available for weeks now,

I do hope you feel better soon

One more thing...have you been started on Simvastatin the cholesterol lowering drug....this can cause these symptoms

Well it sounds like a virus so could be flu or a flu like bug. (Dr Penelope here)!

Think you need to see GP just in case it's something more obscure. I always think it's an idea to get things on record early so they can read in black n white the sequence of events - I know that doesn't come easily for a chap but get yourself down there for emergency appt on Monday.

I did the same, paracetamol for days, then infection & 7 days antiB, 7 days still on paracetamol to help me function then plummet 2nd Oct to 'a pneumonia type infection' docs words. 7 days on Clarithromycin plus steroids (grrrrrrr) hardly any sleep..... Bugger it, I've been in bed for almost a week since. Cannot venture out . I did drag myself out last night & drove to Waitrose but really shouldn't have, was a danger on the road 😕 bad me.

so, in conclusion GO TO THE DOCTOR! .......please?
