Aches and pains
Teresajane hi, That long lasting irritating pain, that nobody can see, or understand, is pretty horrendous day after day.
I too was in the same position, well still am really, I even asked my Dr if anything could be done, over 2 years ago. Now suddenly they have looked at a recent blood test, it would appear I am dangerously low on Vitamin D.
After 1 week of taking supplement my muscles and joints are improving, it's unbelievable.
I am in no way saying this is your problem, but may be worth mentioning something on this line to Dr.
Hope things improve one way or another.
Linda
Hi Teresajane. I get joint pain because I have osteoarthritis as well as moderate COPD, and I can't say if the COPD makes it any worse as I've had o.a. for years. I can get dizzy if I hyperventilate or overbreathe to cope with feeling breathless. That used to put me off doing exercise, until I went on a Pulmonary Rehab course and found out that was what I was doing. The PR physio helped me develop a better way of breathing for exercise.
When i first came out of hospital my visiting respiratory nurse told me COPD can cause joint pains simply due to low oxygen
I would get it checked out could be some form of arthritis and nothing to do with COPD I have PsA and OA and in pain all the time take care x
I have COPD and do suffer with dizzy spells which is brought on by being breathless more so when walking
If you're on statins, they are notorious for causing joint pain. Do yourself a favour and ditch them. Your body will thank you.
