Hi All

Hope your all enjoying this typical British Summer and keeping well.

I have joined a fab Running Club who are so supportive as I am obviously the slowest. Now trying this Interval Training in the hope I can get my speed up like others do with normal lungs. We shall see!!

Have set up my just giving page for the BLF. The Great South Run is getting closer. A tad scarey but I'm going to do the best I can folks xx HH

Happytochat, Thank you I Did not think I could 8 weeks ago! Couldn't walk up a hill let alone RUN! It's amazing what you can do with shot lungs lol xxHH

So what does this interval training entail? I'm intrigued if you couldn't even walk up a hill but now you can run? How?

I went on the Pulmonary Rehab course and then started to Couch to 5k run programme for people with normal lungs. It takes a little longer and is hard work but it can be done. Cardio fitness is the best for lungs! Now I can Run albeit not the fastest lol.Ive now got my life back xx HH

Well good on you, the best of luck with your running! πŸƒπŸΎ let us know how you progress! πŸ˜€

Thank you everyone X I'm sure you could all run with training.

I'm nothing special just giving it all to prolong my life and hope that others will try even if not running walking xxHH

I have arthritis in back, hips, knees and feet, as well as other places. Running would be very painful.

Do you have to use oxygen ?

I use it at the moment for ambulatory in and outside if the house, do not need it for sitting or sleeping
