No more worry..

Hi everyone hope your all ok and getting on ok.

After nearly four months of worrying myself sick that I had COPD or something like it, it turns out I had a really bad chest infection. It started clearing up about 6 weeks ago after my third or forth lot of antibiotics. I went for a CT scan about a week or two after it started clearing up they said it showed the remenants off an infection. I also went for a spiomitry test, my Fev1 was 108% which is above average lung age 35 πŸ˜€ not bad as I've just turned 46. I've stared kickboxing again and been out on my MTB over the last few months couldn't really do either before because I was gassing within a few minutes or just in the warm up. I'm going for a bronchoscopy on Monday morning as the doctor just wants to have a look inside my lung just as a precaution before they sign me off, not really looking forward to a camera in my lung but I've been thoroughly assured it's just a precaution seeing as I've had a chest X-ray, CT scan and spiomitry this completes the set I suppose.

Thanks to everyone on here and wish you all the best.

Tony.. xx

That's great news!

I'm similar just waiting for my second CT scan after having my narrowed airway dilated with a bronchoscopy.

I hope the bronchoscopy goes well in every respect, they gave me a sedative beforehand and I slept through. Don't think that was the aim but at least I didn't feel anything!

I've had several endoscopys in the past and the same happened to me on one of them, the sedative made me go to sleep. Just as well because the others I've had were awful lol. Cheers though I'll post how it went..
