Hi, if you type mattress into the search box on the top right hand side of this page you will find previous posts on the topic.

Hope that helps a bit

Hi

Im not certain any mattresses help but i could be wrong although i do find plenty of pillows to prop you up a little while your sleeping makes a difference x

Hi, I'm not sure about mattress but a v shaped pillow is a great thing to have. Gives adequate support & is so comfy.

Well i was looking into getting a memory foam mattress a couple of months ago but someone said they are a problem to some people with breathing problems so i started to look and found a lot like the link ive put on for you x

Hi don't get a duck down filling in your duvet. Or feathers or anything like that as they can cause coughing in us lungies. A microfibre one is ideal. x

I have a memory foam mattress, can't see why it would be thought bad for your lungs. I LOVE it. A firm one.... it's SO comfortable. My daughter has a rock hard one - her preference - not quite like lying on the ground but nearly.... ha ha ha x

I bought a memory foam mattress from B&Q earlier this year. It cost £79 in their sale. It has been a godsend.

The thing to remember with memory foam mattresses is they need to be unrolled and aired while they expand to their full depth.

Why not buy an adjustable bed you will not have to pay any vat. You can have two singles which can be fixed together or a double.

If its single beds they can be adjusted separately so you can have your head upright and even your legs elevated.

These bed are sold in most bed stores and they come with very thick memory foam mattress.

are they expensive maureen

They cost more than your average bed. We bought ours December 2013 and I can't remember the exact cost. I sleep with the head elevated and leave it that way during the day so I don't find it difficult to get the setting right again. I only put it down to change the sheets.

You will need to buy the deep fitted sheets if you use those as the mattress is quite thick

Sorry again that I can't tell you the cost. We got ours from Benson For Beds and then we bought the headboard as well and the delivery men came and set it all up for us. Two single beds put together to make super King size. Other stores that sells theses bed and chairs can be very expensive. If you are going to buy one make sure you try and get as much off as possible.

All the best

We have got an electric bed (2 singles with separate controls), it's like a king size bed. We did it through Age UK so it meant that they got a donation from the makers. Cost £3000 with no VAT. It is brilliant, best thing we ever bought! Xx

I couldn't afford an adjustamatic bed. The memory foam mattress has been very good. So long as you change the sheets regularly, dust mites are not a problem.

Not what you're looking for?
