Do you have a foot board on your bed? Try moving yourself and pillows etc lower down so that your feet rest against the foot board. If no footboard you could wedge a chair at the bottom of the bed.

I always avoid Santee silk pillows, They are a killer . Also I have a wedge pillow and find it helpful .Also put a soft pillow under my knees

Many years ago in hospital I had a sandbag to stop me slipping down. I told a modern nurse this and she thought it was a brilliant idea. Worth a try.

Hello jasmine-1, have you thought about a wedge pillow? I bought one after my last stay in hospital with pneumonia, it was a bit too high at first and made my ribs hurt low down so I took my electric carving knife to it and cut it in half through the middle, although it made the cover baggy, I pinned that on a bit tighter and now it's brilliant, no sliding and really helps, I also pad it out with big soft lump pillows and a v pillow, my bed looks like flipping sultans boudoir, not a lot of room for my husband but never mind, he sleeps well anyway,

Hope this is helpful love, let us know how you get on

Wish I knew - I tried a V pillow and ended up under it!! I bought a wedge that has been more successful but I still find myself down the bed. I curl so jamming myself in with something at the bottom of the bed wouldn't work. Even in hospital with the electric beds I wriggle down. My favourite aid are the barrel travel pillows that are like mini beanbags as I squidge them under my head and don't tend to slide off them!!

Good luck!!

Why not get "elephants feet" to raise your bed instead of using pillows.

I have one of these metal back rests things - rather like half a deck chair

with another pillow or two on top I find it less slippery. Mine came

from physio dept when I came out of hospital but you can buy them.

Even a pillow at the foot of the bed will help with this - I have a divan with no footboard but the resistance of the pillow still seems to work.
