Just Feeling A Bit Pathetic...

It's pathetic...providing I sit fairly still and walk about only when strictly necessary and don't laugh out loud...I can snigger a bit, it's a proper laugh that sets off the coughing...then I feel almost reasonable. Not exactly full of beans and raring to go mind you...

The Consultant was puttering away about lovely new inhalers but I didn't take a blind bit of notice 'cos at the time I felt ok-ish...wish I'd listened properly now and told her I'd have a pocketful to try them out...

It's old Lemon Face who puts me off you know...she stands in front of the Consultants door making sure the patient doesn't attempt to escape and has that expression on her face of world-weary contempt for little old ladies who insist on asking dam fool questions...I'm so horribly tempted to give her a sharp smack I have to sit on my hands...

Actually the last time I was there and the Consultant was talking away about how wonderful the new inhalers are, I had drifted off in a fantasy of having a pair of shoes like that woman in James Bond...you remember...she had blades shoot out of her shoes... a pair like that would be handy to poke Lemon Face in the ankle.

I'll make an appointment with our Doctor and ask will he get me a consultation...there must be some solution and it may lie in new-fangled inhalers.

You will never be pathetic, you are an inspiration to us. I look forward to reading your posts. If you cannot find where to buy those 'special' shoes then you will have to start up a business making them. I am sure that you would be inundated with orders!! I think I will need two pairs as they would get worn out quite quickly, especially if I am in a bad mood xx

If you really want to piss wasp chewing Lemon Face off, why not take a medical book along and pretend to consult it before each question?

Oh vashi my love I agree with the others - you are never pathetic, you wouldn't know how to be :) What you are is a lovely warm talented human being who brightens our lives by being you and for posting your wonderful stories.

Carry on being you and you will do. Hugs xx

Hi Vashti

Pathetic, NEVER !

Your posts whisk me away to wonderful stories and situations down your lovely neck of the woods. I love them, keep them coming.

Never, ever, let anyone stop you from asking questions, and don't get up until you are satisfied with the answers, I'm sure a wise lady such as yourself does this anyway.

I am already humming "From Russia with Love" and seeing a picture of the lovely lady with the bladed shoes Vashti! See what you make me conjur up with your wonderful stories. Hospitals and doctors put Pete right off what he was actually going to say and that's why I go with him. We have to go to Southampton on Friday about the spinal cord stimulator, not that it is helping much with the pain, and Pete is supposed to have an x-ray. No idea what time or anything so have tried to ring but had to leave a message. I am not a fan of answer machines even though we have one.

Hope you have a good day today. Wet here so not nice.

Love to you, your street and all. xxxx

Glad you're pleased with your lamp - I love mine, but unlike some with the luck of the Irish I had to pay for it!!! Where do they dig up these acid-drop women? I reckon they must breed them especially to torment the sick and suffering and "pathetic" (ha-ha) ladies like yourself. That's a beautiful rose - the white scrambler/rambler I got in Homebase has turned out to be bright red - not what I wanted at all, but it's strong and vigorous and young enough to transplant. Is it wet everywhere today? I was just getting used to the sun when they turned it off and being Wales it'll prolly stay off for a while. Hope the cough gets better soon, take care.

Thank you...many times over...you are all such lovely people to count as friends xxx
