I'm the same try do PLB breath in for the count of 3 and make a shape with your mouth like as if you were going to whistle and blow out for the count of 6. This can help I'm going to look for your blog. Hope this helps it can reduce the number of time you need your inhaler.

Hi David. I have trouble with getting short of breath just by walking. There are breathing exercises which can help (like PLB, pursed lip breathing) and I know some people use their Ventolin or other preventer BEFORE they start the job as they find they don't get as breathless that way.

Simple answer young David, yes. If I sweep the garden path or similar I usually strap on my portable oxygen while I do it. It does help though.

Regards from Bobby

Hi David as I only suffer from mild lung disease I can't really offer you any advice. I do use my blue inhaler more when I am active. It does seem to help.

Sweeping any area would do me in David, not only the sweeping bit but the dust thrown out afterwards. So, for me, no sweeping at all :) x

I have to use my oxygen to do any form of activity. We have a small wet room and I can't even try to clean just a tiny bit of it without my oxygen. I now have to use 5litres on ambulatory.

Hi, for me it would only happen if I've an infection so it would be an indication of something being wrong.

If this isn't a normal for you then perhaps you need the doc to listen to your chest. Take care. P
