Is there anyone on this site that has knowledge of conveyancing laws? I would greatly appreciate your help with a land dispute that is just short of causing me a nervous breakdown.
You may PM if you like so I can explain it as it's a bit long and complicated.
Thank you. XXX

If it is boundary issues go to Land Registry. If it is search issues the local council. Right of Way is local Council. Property rights the property Deeds should answer them however some are now in the Land registry office if they have been submitted recently?
Thank you Offcut, but it's more complicated than that.
My home belongs to a local authority and the land was taken from another LA property in 1994 to give my property a garden. in the last couple of years, the "other" property has been bought and the LA are insisting that that the boundary betaken back to the original place - pre 1994. However, the new owner is not interested in it, and just wants the boundary changed on the land registry to stop any hassle in the future should they wish to sell!
Hope that's not too complicated, it's difficult to explain?! XX
Not really. I would say that as long as a nominal figure of £1.00 is paid for the section of land that the person owns and want to give up to the same as 1994 onward could be done. Unless the deeds forbid it. Their would be leeches costs, Sorry solicitors costs. But a call to land registry might be a good place to start.
