Nissen fundolplication

I am currently waiting to be put on the lung transplant list , I've had all the assessments and everything is good to go . I need to have a Nissen Fundoplication first and was wondering if anyone else had had this procedure either before or after transplant as I am terrified

Please don't be scared Kelly,I had that done some years go,whilst my lungs were not the best,& it all went very well,such a relief to ease those symptons that led up to it!

They will of course assess your lungs,& the anathetist will act accordingly.

I wish you all the best with it,& to your going on the lung transplant list,better days ahead eh?!

Thanks , nice to hear that someone else has had it done and it all went well . Can't wait to get on the transplant list now xx

do you know the cost of the transplant?

No cost , it's the NHS although I have had to have a lot of assessment to make sure I'm a good candidate for it
