Had a good dollop of the wet stuff over night and yes its moving away and the sky is clearing so maybe just maybe we will have some sun today. It was great to hear from Suzy and that her first wack of chemo is done, she is a positive lady and will handle it well, its not much fun but as long as you stay in charge its bearable and more so if you stay on this forum as well.
Talking about being positive reminds me of this old farmer who was working in the hay loft and on leaving realized he had lost his watch, it was not over expensive but had a lot of sentimental values, he went up the loft but was not able to find it. He heard a group of children playing outside and said to them about the watch and which ever one found it would get a reward. The children all clambered up and there was laughter and shouting but after a while they came down without the watch and went off to play, except one lad who asked if he could have another look, the old farmer thought for a minute then said alright just for a little while. Off up went the lad and after a short time came down with the watch, the farmer was so pleased and asked the boy how did he find it when the other could not, the boy said " I just sat in the silence and listened for the ticking then searched there.
So the moral is ... A peaceful mind can think better than a worked up one, so allow a few minutes of silence each day and see how it helps you sort out how you want to set up your life.
Have a great Sunday because tomorrows Monday and Monday is washing day is every body happy, you bet your life you are. xxxx

Still dull and cloudy here but hopefully the sun will come out later - the garden is looking much better after the rain and I want to put in some more plants. Quiet day here cos husband has got a nasty cough - makes him so tired. But he'll enjoy watching me working in the garden lol 😀😀. Enjoy your day Fred. Jan xx
Jan one of my favourite hobbies is watching other people work its so relaxing lol have fun in the garden and hope hubby's cough improves. Keep smiling xxx
I hope Hannah soon recovers Fred and i like the thoughtful story. Dinner, well traditional roast beef today. The day is brighter and sunnier than yesterday, may go shopping for shoes, which is always a nightmare, i have very slim feet and no one in uk makes AA fitting any more. We have had several trips now, if it fails today, i shall try America on the net.
Oh dear Margaret slim foot, that should be your forum name lol I am the other way as I need wide fit, and pleased to say there is not to much trouble for me now as Clarkes and others do them, so best of luck but I expect you will be going on line. Have a good day out anyway. xxx Fred
Morning Fred, not had breakfast yet, stayed in bed a bit longer than I had thought, I was nearly at the end of my book, still not finished but thought I better move.
Better go and get it and then do veg for dinner, having pork today, trying really hard to eat have changed evening meal to lunch time for the last few days seem to manage better, think we will be a bit late today.
Polly thats a good idea when I was on the chemo the first time I had the main meal at lunch time then I was free to sleep when ever, also the urge to eat seemed to take a walk, we are all a funny lot arn't we. I am late replying as did a bit to much today and needed a rest which is unusual for me, but alright now, enjoy the rest of your book. xxx Fred
I don't know where you get these fabulous stories but i love them
