I find it difficult to get a full breath. It seems to be worse when I'm tired. I feel the need to take lots of deep breaths but I'm never satisfied when I take one.

Breathing troubles.
Hello Steve,
Looking back at your old posts you wrote a very similar post two years ago. How have you progressed since then? You also wrote about not receiving your lung function test results but no update. Not getting enough satisfying breaths is of course common for us lung patients. We either can't get the air in or we can't get it out. It would be helpful if you could tell us what you were diagnosed with, the results of your latest lung function test and a wee bit more information.
Thanks in advance.
Cas xx 😊
Hi. Yeah I had the same thing 2 years ago. I went for a long function test and everything came back as normal. The problem then cleared up by itself almost. I still experienced some trouble getting a full breath but this was very rare. Then the last month or so the problem has come back. Its frustrating because all the tests that were done first time round came back fine and I thought the problem had gone but now its come back.
Hmmm.... I wonder if you have allergies or some kind of pollutant that happens around this time. It is puzzling. If it's not a problem that persists then it might be an exterior irritant of some kind. You could always go back to the doctor. I guess they will send you for more tests. Wishing you well. xx 👋
Hello... I asked my Doctor to get me a FLUTTER DEVICE that I heard of. It came! It feels like it opens my lungs up a bit! Maybe that would help! Janet127
Thanks for that. I'll have a look into it. Were you experiencing the same symptoms I have been having?
If you haven't been referred to one already, ask to go on a Pulmonary Rehab course. Six weeks of specialised advice on dealing with breathing problems. Much better informed than many GPs and plenty of time to ask questions and gather all-round info from physios and fellow sufferers. Can’t recommend highly enough.
I went back to my doctor again this week but again she was pretty sure there was nothing to worry about. She looked back at a letter she received from the hospital which said it was abnormal breathing I had. She gave me a leaflet with breathing exercises to do. Also my blood pressure was a bit high so I've to go back in a month to get that checked and also if my breathing still doesn't feel good and she will do more tests.
I would ask her to refer you to a pulmonologist
