There is hope MDV, I and a few others on this site have recovered from multi-organ failure. Are they giving him kidney dialysis as well as help with his breathing? Tony x

I can only wish you and your family especially your father all the very best, lots of love TAD xxx

Hi. I don't mean this to sound callous but you would be far better talking with the team that are looking after him. They know his condition and how he is responding to treatment and intervention. As Dall05 says there are several of us who have survived multiple organ failures. Not nice and frightening for the sufferer and family. It can appear to get a bit worse before it starts getting better. Getting stabilised is the first trick. Once the team can achieve that then the chances of building on improvement is more likely.

Be strong for him. He will need your help. Don't be frightened to talk with the staff and ask what and why they are doing things if that helps you understand.

Stay away from Google. It is not your friend at a time like this.

Regards Rib

I was in ICU for 32 days and 12 days in a coma my family were told many times I was not going to see the night though. Keep talking to him about everything that comes into your head. My thoughts are with you and your family.
