Is just me or does anyone else feel short a breath for a short while after taking their inhaler, mine are Atrovent and Monodual and both have the same affect.

My husband is not taking either of those inhalers - he uses Spiriva in the morning and symbicort twice a day and ventolin as a reliever. None of these make him breathless after use. I would suggest you go back to the doctors and ask their advise - there are lots of inhalers available. Perhaps a call to the BLF helpline might help you - the nurses might have heard of your symptoms and might be able to advise an alternative. The very best of luck, TAD xx

You probably need to speak to someone who specialises in respiratory medicine. Otherwise, try giving your pharmacy a ring.

I hope you find all the right answers snook. Pete does not seem to have that problem but he is very breathless at other times so hard to tell really. Good luck to you anyway. Hope it is nice and warm where you are. Very mild here. xxxx

I have started to 'monitor' how I feel after using Serevent - because I feel more breathless at times - wonder if it is just the daily up and down of this illness - I am keeping an eye on it though - so your post is very interesting - did think it was a stretch that the inhaler was making me more breathless - trying to keep an open mind and not coming to any conclusions till I've given it another couple of weeks.
