Am back!

Yippee got my broadband up and running again after my house move.

Am NEVER moving again!! Surrounded by boxes and loads to do here. Can't do anything until more cupboards fitted. BUT am now living in a ground floor flat so NO stairs and should have cheaper bills.

Amazing how much we have come reliant on internet etc. these days.

You tell me about moving!! No broadband and a poorly husband and cat. But the air is so much better here. Walked in the bungalow and saw a sea of boxes. Now three months later, fully settled. x

Just want to say thanks for all good wishes.

New cupboard look to cost more than I had bargained for but trying couple of other companies for quotes.

Cat seems to have settled remarkably quickly. Is playing with toys and eating after only a week. Wouldn't eat for first couple of days but doing well now.

BIG mistake was not getting flat prof cleaned once we exchanged. The agent arranged for former tenant to do and although looked clean place is actually filthy! Oh well. No carpets to trap dust. Got flooring. So once can get to floor will get cleaned!

Hope you get those boxes unpacked without too many problems. Wishing you a happy life in your new home. xx

Good luck in your new hope Bevvy :) hope you'll be happy and healthy there. Did you have to go far from your GP etc?

I'm supposed to be moving although it's 11 weeks in and not so much as a whiff of contract to exchange. No chain either side either. Any tips on staying calm gratefully received!

VERY sadly will eventually have to change GP but not rushing to do so. From October new rules mean can have GP anywhere, but realistically will have to change at some point.

Sorry but had major stresses re move and porting mortgage. So can't give many suggestions re stresses! Surprised you not exchanged yet though....

Living out of boxes - and will be for a couple of months, which is no fun!!

Cat doing remarkably well and settling in very nicely.

Have to go back to work next week, not looking forward to that plus trying to sort new home out! Will try to get as much rest as possible.... Especially with dreaded winter approaching.

I moved on the 20th june and that was a nightmare we were all packed up in the van by 12:30 told I was homeless by 13:00 then told I am the new owner of out home at 14:00 arrived at my new house 14:30. They had not cleared a single room! I asked to at least let us put the food in the fridge freezer they were leaving? As soon as we empty it was the reply! They loaded the van like complete amateurs and went to do a drop to their new home. So we moved our van near and loaded everything into the back garden. thinking that will move them on a bit, WRONG!

I had to go and sit in my car it was getting to me. Well to cut a long story short it was 17:30 that we started moving stuff in, just to finish it all off they asked if they could take some light fittings and I had no problem with that and they SHOULD of put some light fitting there? No live bare wires hanging from the ceiling, luckily one of my helpers was a qualified electrician. To help I managed to break my big toe knuckle 3 days before the move :(

Enjoy your new home I am now ;)

Be Well

yes it all seems to be falling in place slowly but We both feel settled in it. We moved from a 4 bed detached to a 2 bed end terrace so we do not have to pay any more mortgage and we know we are secure.
