E-Cigarette Explosion
That is tragic - poor man. I have e-cigs and would only use them from a reliable source and would never leave it on charge unattended. Thank you for the link. x
I quite agree with you, I have used e cigs for 2 years and i have never had any probems with batteries exploding. Ignorance is the reason this happened. If used responsibly you should never leave charging batteries unattended, basic common sense really.
The ecig appears to have been charging in the bedroom beside his oxygen concentrator and he died in the living room. The ecig malfunction must have ignited, melted the oxygen tubing and caused him to die from lack of oxygen. The fire break should have stopped the fire from reaching the cannula but he would have had immediate problems with oxygen supply.
The ecig may have belonged to another member of his family but it highlights the need to be vigilant with these devices. I think there was some discussion here recently suggesting that they were safe to use with oxygen..... Perhaps not.
This tragic incident could be used on a novel about spies!
Still the reality catches up and is thought provoking. How could this happen; I thought e=cigarettes were safe!
No cigarettes are safe. Only safe thing to do is give up smoking, particularly when using oxygen. No Brainer.
You always get the stupid people ,try to use other plug connections, made to sound bad ror millions that use it,completely irresponsible ,especially with oxygen around, idiot.
