This has happened to me twice over the years. Fury - was I going to suffer a side effect but rang the pharmacy, and while the original purpose wasn't achieved, no harm was done. xx

! My mouth 'knew' as soon as I put it in that it wasn't part of the morning ritual so I was able to spit it out and use it a few minutes later. After a shower and woken up a bit..

Oh bless! You also know you've lost your muscles when you struggle to get a tablet out of it's foil container LOL :) x

My 'Pill-Mate' container drives me up the wall fighting to get the contents out.

They seem to put multiple cover sheets on and do not align them properly !

Well done :-D I confess that I have swallowed at least half a dozen over the years. They have never done me any harm.

That's quite a lot! I think the trick is not to put that blue/green cap out with the others we take orally every morning. Sleepy head says "swallow the lot....".

I see. No, my trick is to use the inhaler and then take the used capsule out. Put the dispenser down and momentarily become distracted and then swallow the capsule that is still in my hand. Clever eh!

Did that recently when distracted by chatty granddaughter. Worst thing I did was usind my 1st Ventalin inhailer without taking the cap off. Joyce

Or when you try to use your tiotropium inhaler, before you've inserted the capsule. Done that one a few times....!!

I swallowed one a few weeks back, my wife rang the pharmacist and they advised not to take another one via inhaler just to miss that dose. This made me realise that they must be very toxic to be told to miss the said dose completely.

I remember that once I had a bad cough. I wanted to "improve" my nebulised saline, so I added some tea-tree oil! It irritated me so much that I phoned the chemist an hour later. he told me that since I took so long to phone him, that the product would eventually disappear without too much harm!

I'll never do that again!
