Hope you haven't forgot to organise your Flu and Pneumonia jabs before the winter ? And that goes for all the carers too ? ?
I've got the nurse coming round to give me both barrels tomorrow, so I thought I would mention the importance of having it done !!!!
Sorry if you think I'm trying to teach your granny to suck eggs ?? (for those overseas, it's an old English saying, in case you think I've overdosed on my meds this morning LOL )

Hi plumbob, yes a week ago had flu vaccine I know that you said carers as well but Don't forget family. I went along with my husband and daughter , my son and his girlfriend are having theirs on Saturday. If you have anyone living in your home with you then they can have the flu vaccine on the NHS. Your definitely organised Linda - well done 😇 I agree with you that family etc should be covered but just said carers as a generic term and maybe does confuse things a bit 😵 just t thought I'd post a reminder in case some might have forgot or never thought about it !
Cheers Plumbob, I couldn't get an appointment, on the same morning I got the letter because, they had all gone and I was supposed to ring them back a week later. I might have missed them now. I ring tomorrow. xx
Had flu jab this afternoon. Asked the nurse about the Pneumonia one and she said that they don't give them until at least 65/66. Seems odd they don't give it with one of the early flu shots, since it is life long protection.
Moogie - must be a regional thing as I had a pneumonia jab last year at 59 years old !! But at least your covered for flue until next year - hope arms not to stiff tomorrow 😷😬😬
Just in case anyone doesn't know Lloyd's Chemist is giving flu jabs free to over sixty fives. You have to book. Our local one is in Saintsbury's so a lot easier to park than at the doctors surgery which is in a small cul-de-sac next to a primary school neither of which have any dedicated parking. The joys of rural life! Keep smiling.
