For Hopetorun
Can't see ANY pilchards, let alone three.
Should have gone to speck savers Toci, its the Pub in the center of the pic which was once run by Hopetorun. small world en it'
I threw the bait - and you bit! Hahaha
Hooked, line and sinker.
Looks to be a very hilly place, Tony. Bet it kept up your exercise regime for you.
The Malvern Hills are a good training place for Cornwall so I had nothing to fear. As you say Toci it was all good exercise ready for my next attempt on that 500 meter barrier.
My right arm didn't do to bad either lifting those fizzy apple juices. .
dall 05.. looks a nice place .... but I guess you'd have to run up that hill if a tidal wave struck .
If a tidal wave came then I think I would be waving goodbye unless I could get on one of the electric Tram/Bus things they use there.
Hi there
thanks for that when i was there covering for a holiday. the cat they had had gone missing for several days. well the second day there the cat turned up and was really pleased to be home and was very friendly what idid not realise is that it had got into the bedroom and peed all over the bed to mark it as his. So I had no bedding managed to wash it in the machine but it was early in the year and i could not get the dam thing dry. there was a washing line out the back where the toilets were so the customers had to duck under my duvet for two days. Eventually i stoked up the fire in the bar and spread it out over table and two chairs. what a fiasco. great place though.
I think it may have changed since I was there as I am sure there was another building on the key side opposite the
shop. It must be nearly 30 years ago now so perhaps some of the really old buildings have gone.
I am pleased you enjoyed your hols I will try and send you a photo of mine when I go next month all of 25 mile to sunny weymouth! Best wishes Irene
They have the best beer garden up some very narrow and steep steps but was well worth going up there when the weather was so good. I had to stop and get my breath just before the top of the steps so I didn't worry the customers with my heavy breathing when out on the patio area.
The Three Pilchards and the Blue Peter were both very busy pubs but I can't imagine its like that in the winter.
Never saw any cats in the pub and that's not surprising eh. Glad you enjoyed the pic Irene even though the pub is only just visible. I look forward to your pics from Weymouth, look out for Weymouth John while your there. Tony
