Oh beautiful bluebells xxxxxxxx I must plant some under our oak tree.
Can tell you are not a gardener they are Iris
Haha I was trying to work out if they were irises or bluebells and went for the wrong one
Love irises too xxx
Oh and you're right I'm not a gardener, my husband does that although that's mostly fruit and veg. I' d like to learn though!! xxxx
Flag Iris's if i'm not mistaken, usually the earliest to flower.
They look a bit like iris to me beautiful xx
Beautiful flowers whatever they are called It would be interesting to discover what the most popular flowers are on the site and the least popular xxx
LMLMD -- there's a challenge for us. I would to think about the appearance, the perfume, the colour and the sentimental associations. Been discussing my favourite, I really dont know. Least favourite - how can I pick some poor plant that offends me -- again I dont know.
Yes I guess your right it would be a challenge as they say one mans flower is another mans weed dont they. I guess for me my least fav would be something like a chilli plant my son used to grow them but they affected my breathing really badly and made my eyes swell so had to get rid, as I was nearly sent to hospital it was so bad, I love roses as they just seem so perfect xxxx
One plant did come to mind LMLMD, it looked like a flesh, shiny black lily with with a yellow thingy growing out of the middle. Ugly.
Yes i think i may know the one you mean, I do not like having lillys in the house those tiger lilys give both me and my son really bad headaches and lily pollen can stain clothes as well some are nice to look at but not worth the side effects xxxx
My favourite would have to be daffodils, so sunny looking in the spring, cheering us up after the winter. I can,t think of one I don't like.
I love daffodills to but dont they look awful when they all die off at the same time
xxxx Julie
Oh yes they are lovely, hopefully mine will be as beautiful,

She is a lucky lady my husband used to buy me flowers too. Just one of the many things I miss. I buy my own now there is a super florist just up the road and when I am feeling down I give them a call and they bring me a bunch at not floristry prices
Where do you nick 'em from?
Absolutely lovely. I do like to see them clumped all together, making a sea of colour.

Lovely picture, used to have a bed of blue irises under the kitchen window when I was a small child and they were as tall as me. Memories. Thanks

We have a patch of red/rust coloured irises, they too have done well his year although it hasn't been their sort of weather. You must have a beautful garden Janet. Ours is best this time of the year, the lupins are coming out, we have whiite foxgloves and the roses seem especially lovely.
