I've been on it for a few months now and it is working a treat - I did pick up a virus that was pretty gruelling but got over it quicker I'm sure because of the azi :) xx

I have been taking this for almost one year now (one capsule three times a week). This was because I was have quite frequent Exacerbations so my Consultant was hoping to reduce them. This has worked very well for me as only had three Exacerbations this year. The previous year I was forever ill with infection after infection.

I can't use it because unfortunately I cannot tolerate it, but know many folks who are and find it very beneficial and report fewer infections. it works in two ways - it beaks down the biofilms surrounding some bacteria and it also helps reduce inflammation.

Hi I have been using it for over 2 years now and only 1 flare up and even that went quickly.

One thing you must remember if you have to take any other antibiotic you must stop taking the Azithromycin.

I was told I had to continue taking Azithromycin if I had to use my rescue medication. Done so and no problems occurred.

Evening.

I started taking it in December and fingers crossed have been infection free, passed my PR with flying colours and feel generally well. Hope you get on with it.

Hi, I have it as the antibiotic in my rescue meds because after continuous exacerbations/infections taking so many ABs that didn't help finally given Azith. It took a couple of month long courses but finally cleared in April last year.

Since then I've had only two 6 week infections and got my life back.

It was suggested by a lovely registrar that I take it prophylacticaly in the winter so I will be requesting that next winter. I feel so lucky to have it in my life I would marry it! P
