Idiot!
hi, sambob, I,m the same, try to do things I can,t, that's what makes frustrating. take care. phil
Thanks philbal
So annoying that things i used to do and take for granted could be the end of me!
That made me laugh i know i shouldn't but it was the "i keep forgetting im not normal" take care
Concentrate on the things you CAN do Sambob, then you'll feel rewarded by your efforts
Get a good mask from builders' merchants if you do diy stuff, and keep work space well ventilated and you should be ok
I know just how you feel it's so hard when you can't do the things to used to do
Despite having retired 15 years ago and having COPD I still do a lot of work around our home. Oil based paints or varnishes are a definite no-go area so I've switched to water based. In the USA by the way, it's all water based. As far as using masks are concerned dust masks are ok for dust but totally useless for spirit based paint or varnish for which you need an organic particulate respirator. These work well but do provide a resistance when you breathe so I find I'm only able to use one for short periods. Farrow and Ball do a huge range of quality water based paints.
I would look at water based paints which I think are the new regs now. Not sure if they are as high gloss but a lot better to use and cheaper to clean under the tap.
Be Well
