Can refuse ESA any time in working age my friend I had worked with years ago had 6 months to go after back surgery. Wanted him looking for a job with a bad back and only 6 months away from retiring who would give a job when he was finished on medical grounds from his last job.

Job centre sending him for interviews and saying he was not trying with enough letters not fair a heavy job did his back then a final insult before he got a pension with tax credits.

I'm being treated for dangerous BP levels after having 2 serious heart attacks whilst TRYING to care for my dying parents with no help !!! They both dead now !:( think the face to face is actually about my PIP claim I have been long term sick due to accident at work since 1984 !!!! Surely all the Drs I've seen in that time have not been lying ?!?!? I heard that ATOS were not doing anymore ESA face to faces only PIP ! Anyone know the truth about this ! ??? Thanks for "good news" Tallyman

I could be in same boat .i presume he got his pension (such as it is ) ok ?? My back was injured in an accident and I was awarded IIB For life at lowest level yet it is taken into consideration and my ESA is reduced by the same amount . Daylight robbery in my opinion ! :-/ grrrrr !

I think my face to 2 faced is about my PIP claim as it doesn't mention ESA just that they have "been asked ,as you are aware for your claim ,by DWP " !As I recently applied for PIP I m assuming that's what it's about! I actually may be better off with JSA as my industrial injuries would not be affected as it is on ESA (lost most of it )!!! .will let ppl know once it's been done and decision made !its disgusting we have to go thru all this ! It's ppl who WONT WORK that should be targeted . But they may have to tell the truth about how many unemployed there actually are !!!:(
