Had a x-ray done that came back fine, had a lung function test, that was good, but they have now referred to the hospital, told me to come off the inhalers the blue and brown, I am not sure if they where working but did not notice that much, but still coughing a bit more did get acids indigestion when I took the inhalers not sure what the hospital will do tho. Had this cough for over the year now.

When they gave me the lung test I did have to use the blue inhaler, but there was very limited change from it .

If I go out side when its cold I cough and in the warm air also smoke will make me cough and fires from house, flumes frim work as well, this just a few things that upset me, I think it is some form of asthma, but not sure.

Sounds very familiar to what I went through. Ask for a CT scan. My consultant did it as a 'last resort' and it showed I have bronchiectasis. Good luck. Hugs Kat

Hello it sounds like you have asthma I get servere indigestion and I have asthma I'm on a brown inhaler and blue inhaler they might give you so thin to control your indigestion and give you a different inhaler

I believe that if the blue inhaler makes no difference during lung function tests that it's an indicator of asthma - BUT, I'm no doctor.

On the other hand though, if you do have asthma, the brown inhaler should have made an improvement. More investigations I think so don't give up.

Look up symptoms of asthma on UK websites, also this one. Click on red balloon
