Thank u I will get her checked out again but she has been on them for nearly four weeks now

Welcome fallotsgirl

I think you should go back to the doctor about the persistent coughing and to have your daughter's lungs listened to again to be sure the lung infection has cleared. I would go as soon as you can get an appointment or attend the walk in clinic if you have one near you.

There is plenty of support for you here concerning the bronchiectasis lung condition.

The British Heart foundation may be a better option for support with the tetralogy of fallots, they also have a community where support and experience can be shared:

Best wishes BC

Hi fallotsgirl and welcome.

I have bronchiectasis and frequently get infections, I have had an infection now for three weeks and on my second lot if Co-amoxiclav.

Still the infection is not clearing so, back to the doctor I go.

I suggest you do the same with your daughter, it is horrible to have Bronchiectasis and an infection maybe the ABs need to be changed, Take a sputum sample with you it will help them identify the wee beasties and so prescribe the right AB.

Tom.

Just wanted to say welcome fallotsgirl and glad to see you have had some great advice on here. I am a carer to my hubby Pete who has sarcoidosis and copd. I feel very well supported on this site. Take care. xxxx
