Hi, here is a link to a blog by one of our members after he'd had endobronchial valves. I hope this is of some use to you. Libby x

Hello Lavinia,

Libby beat me to it by giving you a link to one of my articles. I think a better link for you would be this:

This is a PDF document of about 20 pages. You will find sections 3,4, and 5 most relevant to you. If you have questions, ask them on here,or PM's. I'll do my best to answer them for you. Try to remain positive. The surgeons do marvelous work for us.

Another good link is to this short video which explains emphysema, and the placing of valves.

Hi Polly I had a large Bullae 8 years ago it covered 50% of my right lung and stopped the whole lung from working, I had a Bullectomy performed at Guys Hospital which worked well, unfortunately I have other problems now and have to go back on Wednesday.

Bob, I hope your visit to King's is alright. Lavinia keep your hope high. When we are concerned, it may be difficult, because it's is suffering. But certain doctors are really good. I hope you see a really good doctor. God bless you.
