Hi Sue
Its a very good site, both from the people on line and for info from the BLF
re benefits ... I am not an expert, but there are many that are and they will be able to give you good info and point you in the direction of other agencies that can help.
They will be in touch

Sue I believe the BLF have a benefits advisor. Try them tomorrow and ask. x
Sue give the BFL helpline a call they will let you know what you can do. You have not said if you have kept up your NI Payments while out of work? This will affect you if you make a claim for contribution ESA as you have to have 24 months payments before you make the claim. However you could apply for the income related ESA which is means tested and will take in your partners income. I had a battle to get mine, assessment went against me, went to appeal and won Support ESA with a review in 12 months.
gov.uk/benefits-adviser I would also go to the link as this is a gov benefit advisor that you can fill in and it really does not take that long and then it will say what you may be entitled to. Also go see your CAB they can help with the forms once you decide on the path you are going to take
Hi THANKYOU so much for information
Hi BSS, how did that all go for you? I'm on JSA, about to have a lung volume reduction op but am afraid of ATOS so I just pretend to look for work and luckily I have a JSA advisor who plays along. (He's a smoker and thinks 'there but for the grace of ..etc). Sooner or later though i will have to bite the bullet so would like to know how it went,.
